Imaginary Machines
Hermès
For Summer 2017, the display window decors of the Hermès’ Swiss branch offered a playful, off-beat projection of the annual theme: le Sens de l’Objet: the objects’ normal functional roles are playfully overturned, and the collections become actors and components of Poetic Machines made from second-hand items in compositions buzzing with details. Hats and gloves play music together, silk scarves sail away on a wheelbarrow-boat, and shoes shore up a madcap house. Each décor tells a different, slightly weird story.
